Hysterectomy Pre op advice for post op concern

A huge tip regarding the one area I did not cover during my entire planning og my husterectomy. What if I am not ready to return to work by my FMLA/STD date or the day the doc thinks I should. I returned to work 7 1/2 weeks after my TAH with LSO. I had an uneventful, easy recovery. I was surprised when I had to leave work early on my 1st day back. I went to the doctor today. She would not allow me more time off but did write for restricted hours. She then told me how ALMOST everyone is back to work full time by 6 weeks and that RARELY does anyone need longer than 10 weeks, any and all jobs no exceptions period. The last few days worrying about going back to work again and hurting myself or not going back and getting fired have been the most stressful part aside from the not knowing before surgery. It should not have been this way......ladies make sure you talk with your doctor and have their support should you need more time or restricted hours to recover and return to work. I did not do this and wish I had.
