3 more days final countdown

Hello all,

Im blushing as I type, but I cant seem to get answers from my doc...she's never in :/

1. This one is the worst..but,since they are removing everything,uterus,cervix,tubes,etc...What is going to hold my other "parts" in?? lol Feel really silly asking that one =)

2. They gave me the good old Fleet and a medicated douche...problem is,I was so upset I've forgotten when Im supposed to use them. The night before or morning of?

3. Am I going to be thrown/slammed into menopause after this? Just checking so I forewarn the hubby to hide all sharp objects =)
Sorry...trying to keep a sense of humor.

Thats about all the embarrassment I can handle for one post

Hi Shanna!

Please don't blush. It's understandable to not remember everything when you see your dr and it's definately ok to ask if you don't remember or if you think of new questions.

1. You will still have ligaments that will hold things up.
2. My dr had me do a betadine douche twice...one, the night before and the other one the morning of surgery. The fleets was optional for me, but was asked if I would do one, to do it the night before. You really do need to check with your dr though. The nurse should be able to answer if the dr isn't in.
3. Menopause depends...are you keeping your ovaries or not? If not and don't get started on hrt right away, you could have symptoms. Even if you do get started on the hrt or keep your ovaries, it's still possible to have some symptoms until your body gets adjusted. Wish I could be more help here, but it really depends.

Good luck and if you think of any more questions, don't hesitate to ask or call your dr.
