Update on leaking urine

First of all I'd like to say thanks to everyone who answered my post. Once again, I was overwhelmed with the kindness and caring I have found on this site time and time again. I went to the dr. today. I had a bladder test done, and found I didn't have that much urine in my bladder after all. He came in after the test and checked for a tear or hole in my bladder, and found none. I however was having a discharge which was yellow and red, and it was because of an infection. The urine was not leaking from my vagina, so I was very happy about that. I found out that I was having problems emptying my bladder and had urges to go all the time. He gave me medicine to help with the urge to go so maybe I won't wake up every hour during the night to urinate. YEAH!!! He said my bladder and urethra were very swollen due to the trauma of the surgery. It will take awhile to completely recover, and he wants to see me again on Friday just to follow up. He told me to rest and keep my feet up and just allow myself to heal. I guess I just thought I would be better by now and have to realize it will be a slower process than I thought. I reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw. It said..."Dear Lord, please give me patience...but I need it NOW" Thank you again sisters. I appreciate all the advice.
Love,
Marie

I'm glad you saw your doctor. Now you know that your problem is being taken care of and you can spend all your energy healing instead of worrying. Best wishes,
