Getting a little irritated!

I know I am not a very patient person...but I met with my doctor on Tuesday, April 4th, he scheduled me for surgery on the 16th of April..I went for my CBC blood work on Wednesday, gave the office until today (Friday) to get with my insurance company...I left 3 messages today for the scheduling nurse with no call back! I don't know if I was approved and do not have a pre op appointment set up! I explained to them at my appointment that I had to let my work know when and how long I will be off (I am a waitress)...which I did, but it would be my luck to get the time off work and then get it common to have your pre op just a few days before your surgery? Does the doctors office usually call and let you know if you have been approved? Or just if you were not? I guess I am just stressing because I have waited so long for this surgery..I don't want anything to stop it! A simple phone call before the "long" weekend would have been great! Now I get to stress for 2 more days!
Thanks for letting me vent....

Getting a little irritated!

I didn't wait for my drs. office to call to get me pre-approved. I called myself. I wanted to know if there was going to be a problem. I'm sure every insurance company is different but they were able to tell me right then that I was approved.

I don't have a pre-op appointment with the doctor. I asked all my questions and received an exam when I went in begging for him to do something about my pain. He scheduled it right then. Of course, we have been discussing this option for some time.

I only have to go in a couple of days ahead to the hospital for blood work and what ever else they will need to do.

Good luck!
