4 days post hysterectomy and a little nervous about this pulling feeling on the right side of my stomach. Is this normal?

I am post surgery day 4. Had the davinci, took everything except ovaries. I have a pulling feeling only on the right side of my lower stomach. Not sure if thats ok??? Its a heavy feeling, sometimes hurts a little. It seems like it should be what i feel like, but on both sides. ANYONE????

Re: a little nervous

Over the next 6 weeks you will likely have many different weird feelings. Pinching, pulling, tugging, aching and sometimes really strange sensations/pains. Even now I still have to suddenly adjust how I'm sitting because it's pulling something inside. You are so very early post op, just do your best to stay comfortable. Watch for fever, severe pain or heavy bleeding. Most other things are considered "normal". My personal rule of thumb: if your inner voice is telling you something is wrong, call the doctor. Rest!

Re: a little nervous

You are only four days out. I remember having a small pillow with me all the time that I held to my right side to kind of hold everything in place in my mind! (the discomfort was more on that side for me at times)
On my fourth day out i went out to lunch with my family and was exhausted afterwards.
Take good care of yourself. Hope you are feeling better every day!
