Mthfr mutation and being told no HRT

Is there anyone out there who lost both ovaries and can't take HRT due to the mthfr mutation?? I'm desperate for help. Hot flashes and mood swings aren't fun but it's the sadness due to the lack of estrogen that is overwhelming. What can I do?? Has anyone tried estrogen with a blood thinner like plavix?? I can't live like this in chemical menopause and no remedy. I've tried sooo many homeopathic things to no avail.
anyone have suggestions on what they did in this scenario ???

What can I do if I'm not allowed estrogen?

Non-hormonal treatments for menopausal symptoms usually depend on exactly what the symptoms are. For example, SSRIs (usually prescribed for depression) are often effective in treating hot flashes and night sweats. Topical estrogen creams are often prescribed for women who are experiencing excessive vaginal thinning but who can't have systemic estrogen. And so on.

Be sure to do your research and check w/ your doc before taking OTC or herbal menopause remedies, as many of these contain phytoestrogens.

If your ovaries have been removed, then you are now in permanent surgical menopause rather than chemical menopause, and not being able to use estrogen could create some new health concerns you'll need to watch out. As a result, it would be a good idea to find someone knowledgeable regarding menopause who can help you proactively combat them since you are already dealing with the MTHFR issue. Are you working with a specialist who understands all the ins and outs of MTHFR gene mutation? Have you gotten a second opinion? There might be some options you could consider that your general OB/GYN is not aware of.
