lets all laugh a little. whats the silliest thing you did??

I am usually a positive upbeat person, though the last 5 months have tried me but i am coming back yay!! So i will share and ask. between the surgery, the meds, the hormones (wether we kept our ovaries or not) whats the silliest thing you did?? I had some doozies forgetting things that were said and such, but one day i had just waited too long. Cheese is my comfort food, but constipation scared me enough i stayed away. Well, about 3 weeks in i had to have a tiny bite, and bowels were good. Felt like a kid stealing candy!! Yum. Flash forward 3 hrs later, hubby went for a snack and opened the silverware drawer. What was there? The rest of the cheese all sealed up in the knife spot. And that led to, where was the knife? no big surprise, in the cheese drawer!! I was busted.

Then my 7 now 8 year old wanted me to show my lap sites with suture intact, to her entire class at school for show and tell..

So fess up!! We are anonymous! Give us all a little chuckle (out of respect for those of us whocant laugh real hard yet!).

I'm not sure about funny but the kids are catching on that my memory isn't the best and boy are they using that to their advantage.

Re: lets all laugh a little. what did you do??

The pain meds were making me really anxious. One night I was in the shower and I closed my eyes to wash my face and immediately panicked thinking the lights went out in the bathroom. Um, hello, I just closed my eyes!

Re: lets all laugh a little. what did you do??

My 7 yr old sons teacher told me that he informed his classmates that I was sick. when asked what was wrong with me, he told them " she had her uterus removed and now she can't poop and sleeps a lot!" I'm amazed he could remember the word uterus, much less he was talking about my potty time, lol. It's amazing how much he hears!

Re: lets all laugh a little. what did you do??

I tripped over the dog and fell 6 weeks post op. Nothing hurt but before I got up I asked my husband if my vagina was on the floor. He said no so I decided nothing was wrong!

Re: lets all laugh a little. what did you do??

In a sleepy, drugged state (after just awakening) I answered a knock at the door at about 4 days post op. The salesman who wanted to get me to switch to a different electric grid or some such thing according to the paper he handed me, took one look at me and walked away and said, "I'm sorry, I'll come back later." I said, "Wait!" He ran. I looked down. I was wearing a really ugly yellow cotton night shirt covered in sweat along with bright green leg warmers (yes, I still have them leftover from the'80s), and purple socks. I started crying, and then he started running. I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. My face was bright red, my hair was wet with sweat and stuck out everywhich way, and I looked worse than ridiculous. I was probably downright scary. I'm glad DH wasn't around for that.

Re: lets all laugh a little. what did you do??

I put my bagels in the dishwasher a couple of times. Tried to put my butter knife in the toaster, and kept forgetting to shut the door after my dog went out potty. She is so smart she would go to the door and bark until I got up to find her and bingo front door wide open for who knows how long. The kicker is I was telling my husband what I had done earlier as he noticed the front door was again open. Thank God that has past! Lol

Re: lets all laugh a little. whats the silliest thing you did??

Just had my surgery today and am feeling no pain! Good prayers and good drugs! I told them to weigh my parts and let me know how much weight I lost afterward. Lifetime WW membership?! Laughter And prayers are the best medicine.
