Long time no see!!!

Hi all! I haven't been around for quite a while, and I just wanted to check in and see how everyone was. Toolgrl, I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this again...after all you went through in the beginning, I would surely think you had paid your dues... ' s

So many other ladies that I've spoken with in the past...I noticed that KimM (I think!) is having probs with bruising and doctors being JERKS! BIG 's to you too! I had low platelets a few years ago, and it seemed to all be due to too many aspirins...strange huh? My best wishes to you Kim!

Anyway..just wanted to update ya'll on me...Thankfully, no more gynecologic probs! YAY!!! It feels so good to finally have all that behind me, and I think about all of you so much, and hope that you will be well soon. Unfortunately, I am facing another surgery now. I have been seeing a chiropractor for low back pain, into my legs, and I had an MRI two days ago. Now I have to see a nuerosurgeon. I have a disc that is bulging on both sides, and they are worried that I have a piece of something floating around in my spinal cord. I have been on complete bed rest for over a week now, and am SOOO tired of it. They say if I'm not feeling better within 10 days or so, that they will have to do a lumbar discectomy, possible fusion...has anyone had this? Obviously, I'm scared to death now; I mean this is my spine we're talking about!! All I can think of are body casts and being paralyzed.. I'm trying to be optimistic, and I know that I will get through this too...I just needed to check in and get some support from all of the ladies who were here for me before.

Take care everyone, and I'll be lurking...

Stacey

Long time no see!!!

Stacey,
It's good to see you again. Unfortunately there are still familiar faces on The Road Still going in circles.

I'm so sorry to hear about your back problems. That is scarey. Doc had talked to me about another nerve he could remove, but he said that it goes around to the spine. Yikes.

I will be keeping you in my thoughts and ers Stacey. We're here for you anytime you need us.

Long time no see!!!

Hi Stacey ~ I'm also having back/leg pain and go to see my internist in about 30 minutes. UGH - another doctor! Anyway, I understand you being scared. I would be too. I am hoping for an MRI this time (kinda going to demand something) to find out what in heck is going on. I decided to go to a doctor simply out of fear of what damage was happening to my spine and legs. It is pretty unsettling. I've never had any type of back surgery, so I can't offer any suggestions, just lots of 's and prayers that you feel better soon.

I' sorry you might be facing back surgery! Sending some 's your way! It seems so always be something, you get rid of one thing and get another !
My husband had back surgery yrs ago the same thing that your going through! I do remember he had to wear a plastic back brace which the dr. had to make but you could remove it for showers ect....Its basicly like any other surgery, rest water and walk you know the drill! I think its scary facing any surgery! And honestly he still has back pain till this day it did'nt work for him but....that does'nt mean it won't work for you!
I'm fighting another surgery too! I need to be cut open yet again to clean the adhesions endo and take bothe ovaries! I'm going into the castle on the 24th to drive the nurses and dr's crazy for a couple days ! so back to being a once again!
Good luck with everything i'll be praying for ya!
Love
Colette

Long time no see!!!

Thank you ladies so much for the much needed support and encouragement! Ya'll have never let me down, even when it's not about my hyst!

Colette, I'm so sorry you are facing surgery again..I remember when I had to go back for them to take my right one, and it's very traumatic the second time around, simply because you expected the first one to solve all your problems! Hang in there, and best wishes to you!

Lisa, I'm sorry that you are in this kind of pain too....in a way, it's almost harder, isn't it? You get used to the other kind of pain, and then suddenly you have this whole new thing to deal with. I hope that they are able to figure out what is going on with you soon, and keep me updated, ok?

And Kim....Thank you for your quick reply! You are always right there to lend a hand to everyone...although, like you mentioned, I am sorry to still see the same names on this road. I hope that you have been able to get some satisfaction with your docs since the last post of yours that I read...I can't believe they would be so insensitive:shocked:

I will keep lurkin' around and checking on you gals! Take care of yourselves, and big 's to ya'll!
