Re: Weirdest thing someone has asked you post op?

My step son (age 8) recently told my daughter "I feel sorry for you. When you get married you have to have surgery. Becca (me) had to have surgery because she married my dad". He then turned to me with a very serious look on his face and said "isn't that right?". My daughter luckily knew what the surgery was for and knows about periods and such so it didn't phase her but I promptly texted his father and told him he really needs to have a talk with his son about anatomy because the poor boy is clueless lol

That's super cute. Thanks for the story ! Nothing weird said yet except a co worker said to stop scaring myself cause I was watching videos of hysterectomies. But they are helping me I like to know and see everthung that's going to happen. No surprises. Comforts me and doesn't scare me. Some people it would just freak out. Not me. lol

Lol I used to do surgery on animals and the site of human medical stuff has never bothered me so I figured I would watch TAH video to give me an idea of what was going to happen. After watching it I wrapped my arms around my lower tummy and got up from the computer wishing I would have never saw it lol. It just looked so brutal hahaha

Re: Weirdest thing someone has asked you post op?

I watch c sections all the time at work but I can't watch the procedure I am going to have. Even tho i'm a nurse I don't really want to see exactly what is going to happen to me. Maybe after but probably not!!
My husband thought I would be able to go out in the woods with him and our kids and dogs THE DAY AFTER!!! I was like um, no and then I got scared that he will really think I should be recovered much faster than I probably will. Turns out he was kidding but still!!
