Re: My Hospital Packing List

Thanks~!!! I'm taking a cab to the hospital for surgery and and won't have anyone at the hospital with me to fetch things so I need to be sure I'm as prepared as possible. Pre-op appointment tomorrow, surgery 9/17...woohoo~!

Great list! I took a cab as well and didn't have anyone to hold my stuff. Just a heads up - my hospital put my stuff in a cubby in the hallway while I was in surgery (not secured at all). The pre-op nurse told me to wrap my phone in my clothes and turn it off so no one walking by would know it was there. Also many hospitals have policies against bringing in meds (gas X & stool softener) because they want to know what you're taking. Might want to check during your pre op appointment.
Good health and recovery!

Re: My Hospital Packing List

Cannot imagine being able to wear biking shorts at the hospital. Nothing but loose dresses for the first month....wasn't able to tolerate bike/running shorts or capris until about week 4. The rest of your list looks great!

Re: My Hospital Packing List

You might not need a lot for Davinci. I packed a bag and never opened it. I only needed insurance card, ID, and lip balm. I just wore the same clothes home. I went home 2 hours after surgery so I guess maybe if I was there longer, I might have needed other things. Just pack light so you won't have a lot to worry about when you are ready to leave. Best wishes to you.
