restless feet and legs

For the last 2 weeks I've noticed that my feet and legs are very restless at night. Usually waking me from a sound sleep only 2 hours after I've gone to bed. I'm not sure if this is because before my surgery I was on my feet (on concrete) for six hours at a time at work or if it's from simple in-activity. They don't hurt, or really even ache, but it's getting annoying since I have such a hard time going back to sleep. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions?

restless legs

Hello Jackie, sorry too hear than the old legs are giving you greif. Well I also have that problem but had it for years, it is actually called Restless Leg Syndrome>>>RLS, if you look it up you will be amazed at the many people that have it. I used to always describe it as my legs feeling restless and yucky feeling. Hard to explain it to someone else. Now this might not be what you have but sounds like it, mine irritated me alot in my third and fourth week recovery. I just got up walked around and also sometimes a heating pad helps. Well try looking it up I found it on the computer a few years back, and there is quite a bit of information.I also looked it up during the time of recovery when it was bugging me. Well I hope this helps to let you know that you are not alone, and hope it eases up, I found the only releif really was to try too walk it off. Good luck too you Jackie, and take care of yourself.

I get that too. I lie in bed and try to relax and I just can't keep my legs still. Walking a bit helps. I should walk around the block before bedtime.

Yep have it too

I definitely have it when I've been sitting awhile. I'm back at work about 2 months post op for TAH and I have to get up and walk around every few hours. Plus in the middle of the night I get "restless" too and even end up watching TV while standing up! I walk a lot and hope to that it lessens but to be honest I've always had it to some extent even before surgery. I always thought it had something to do with being tall! Good luck.
