BEST & WORST of today? Go!

It is only natural for all of us to post about our pains, problems and complications because our bodies (and minds) are going thru so much. But I would like to know everyone's BEST and WORST thing about your day today.

Post Op Day 11 BEST: I was finally able to lie on my side and cuddle up to my husband for a movie tonight. I have missed that closeness.

Post Op Day 11 WORST: I am so tired of this Foley catheter. Not only is it a challenge and painful, it makes me feel like the most un-sexy thing in the world. My family affectionately refer to it as my pee bag.

Tell me about your day...

BEST & WORST of today? Go!

Rachel here and I'm three days post op.
Best. My four year old caring for me lovingly Telling me I will be alright
Worst. Lifting my 11 month old son (22 pounds) and now I have a slight Vaginal bleed.

Re: BEST & WORST of today? Go!

Best: walked two city blocks and ten minutes in backyard

Worst: have the most worthless, uncomfortable reclining couches. Laid back and could feel pulling on right side of stomach so I tried to get up, and was like a beached walrus. What a sight.

Great idea for thread. So vital to remember that I'm getting better every day

Last week this time I could barely walk to the toilet.

Post op 10 days

Re: BEST & WORST of today? Go!

worst: stupid stabbing and pulling pain that is radiating through my cuff.

best: spent the evening outside with friends at a party while the kids played and had fun. I just sat and let people take care of me.

Beached Walrus, HA! I don't think I have ever made so many grunting noises trying to sit down, get up or roll over in my life!!! I feel ya.

As hard as it has been to give up control over everything and 'run the show', it has been nice to have people wait on and care for me for a change.

Best - going with my husband to a outdoor event and was able to stand and walk for 1.5 hours as well as sitting in car for 1 hr.
