"Cancer Shmancer" by Fran Drescher
Just wanted to pass this on - I sat in Barnes and Noble Saturday afternoon and read this book by Fran Drescher - aka "The Nanny."
It was a fast and often funny read, and also included some really good medical info - she went to something like 10 doctors over a two year stretch in an attempt for a diagnosis.
They kept patting her on the head and telling her she was perimenopausal, only to find out she had stage two (I think) uterine cancer. She had a TAH and is fine now.

Thanks for sharing this. I will look forward to reading it.
I can't imagine how 10 doctor's managed to misdiagnose but I guess I will find out.
Good reminder to the women who will read the book that any unusual vaginal bleeding or discharge should be checked by your doctor immediately. And should include an endometrial biopsy too.
My daughter-in-law's grandmother who is 82 had a hysterectomy today for endometrial cancer. She started bleeding 2 months ago. So it can strike at any age and should never be ignored. I was there as the new family "expert".Her surgery went well and she is doing fine now.
