CIS of cervix
Hello. Just found you all. Am very happy to be here. Just recently dx with CIS and I am having some symptoms. I was told that symptoms are impossable. I went 10 years with out a pap and was having some problems so , the rest is history. My dx was made by punch biopsy. My symptoms include a non stop nausea accompanied with lower abdominal pain, and ofcourse abnormal [prolonged ] bleeding. Does anyone else have any of these same syptoms with this dx? Thanx once again for having me. Lenora

CIS of cervix
Hi Lenora, welcome to cancer concerns .
When I was diagnosed with my dysplasia ( CIN 3 / carcinoma in situ / CIS ) I had no symptoms at all. But I have read that abnormal bleeding can be a symptom.
Have you seen an oncologist about this diagnosis? Also , what does your regular gyn say about it.
You sound like you are in very early stages of diagnosis ,so I guess you havent decided on what course of treatment you will be doing. Read lots, ask lots of questions and then you can make an informed decision on what to do.
Best of luck with it all and please remember we are always here for you. love and hugs xxx

CIS of cervix
Yes, I am in early diagnosis stages. I am scheduled for a cold cone in May 16. I have not seen an oncologist as of yet. I do I have a massive lesion on my cervix. Put you're thumbs together and you're middle fingers together that is how big the dr showed me that is was. I am so concerned about the nausea. I also have some bladder symptoms. Kind of mimmics a urinary tract infection without actual infection. Thanks
Lenora

CIS of cervix
Hi Lenora, Have you had an ultrasound done? I had simlilar symptoms as you and was given an US, which showed 4 lg fibroids (benign). I was waiting for a hyst when an abnormal pap came back, which ultimately led to a dx of cervical cancer just yesterday.. I have a 2cm tumor sticking out of my cervix.
Anyway, I was wondering if your symptoms were really from fibriods, it's just that no one's checked for that yet?

CIS of cervix
No I haven't had an ultrasound or ct or any type of scan. My initial pap showed severe dysplasia. Then I had the colpo and biopsies (no endocervical currettage done at that time). The doctor at that time never told me how things where. I ended up with an infection from the biopsies. The biopsies showed carsinoma in situ of the cervix. I am finally scheduled for the cone. I appologize to everyone for repeating my self. The doctor told me when I went in for the infection that (altogether different dr) my lesion was massive and he didn't want to just go straight to a hyster because he felt that I may be more advanced that the biopsies show and he needs to have a better idea so he knows just what to remove? I don't know? I have a strong family history of cervical/uterus cancer. Maybe I am just crazy or something. I just feel like I am all alone, even though I am not. Thanks alot.

Hey, Lenora you will never be alone while you come here. Thats what we are here for.
You arent repeating yourself at all , we have asked questions and you have answered them. You are feeling confused and scared right now ,so no need to apologize.
What you gyn wants to do is to see how far the CIS has spread and probably decide on what type of hysterectomy to do. Leave ovaries etc . So it sounds like you are in good hands.
Please hang out here with us, we will get you through this. Love always x x x

Hi Lenora,
I agree with Robyn...your doctor probably wants to do the cone biopsy first to see how far the lesion extends and then make recommendations from there.
I also went this route, i.e., abnormal pap smear, colposcopy with biopsies, cone biopsy, then radical hysterectomy...
Sounds like your doctor is doing everything step by step. Be positive and take one day at a time!
