scar tissue???

Hi Ladies,
I am hoping someone can shed some light on this.

I went to my 6wk post-op appt. yesterday,4/23,(SAH, kept both ovaries). Everything looks to be healing fine. I'm greatful about that. My concern is the pain I've been having in my abdomen. Dr says it's scar tissues forming. It's not too bad in the morning and early afternoon, but by the late afternoon and throughout the night it's pretty bad. Dr. suggestion is to take pain reliever and use a heating pad. (I was already doing that, it does help to relieve some of the discomfort). Since I'm still early in my recovery, dr says I should wait about another month, to see if the pain subsides or completely goes away. However, dr did say to call in if it became too severe.

Has anyone had any early or later issues with scar tissue forming and being painful?? How do you deal with the pain now or later?? Did your dr have to intervene to help with pain management?? Did the discomfort go away as your healing proceeded?? Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks.

I go back to work tomorrow (1/2 days) for about a week, then full days begin. I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. Gradually, of course.

Best wishes and smooth healing to all,
Bridgette

scar tissue???

Hi Bridgette!

Sorry to hear about your scar tissue ~ I did not have a problem with this, but I know there are gals who have, and will hopefully be along shortly to share their experience.

Just wanted to pop in and give you s and to wish you the best. Take extra special care of yourself and I hope everything gets better for you. *Do* call the DR if this pain gets chronic or severe!

Love N HUGS,
