feeling good and at peace

Hi all,I am two weeks and three days from my TAH/BSO. I have checked in and read the message boards on this site for a couple of weeks now and am feeling so at peace with this entire procedure. I was so absolutely freaked out when I first scheduled my surgery, then got rather depressed and subdued, but at least for now (and I know this is apt to change at any moment) I have accepted this. It was never the actual surgery that scared me so much as the recovery time, and how my life would be affected after the surgery. Because of the kind words from so many of you I am looking forward to a better life. A life free of pain, constant bleeding, constant cramps, etc... I know the surgery will go well - I trust my wonderful doctor completely. And I know my recovery will go well because I have a wonderful husband. I am so looking forward to days and days of television, books, movies, and I have so many needlework projects!!! I am going to spend several weeks loving my husband, my dogs, loving a life of leisure. And I am going to spend the rest of my life loving my life!!!!!
Thanks to you all!!!

A positive outlook will make for an easier recovery and you will find those things that you can enjoy, that perhaps you wouldn't have the time for now! All the best to you!
