Numbness and tingling

I have had numbness / tingling (like w foot falling asleep) in my ring and pinky fingers of my left hand where my IV was. I am only on day 3, but find it a bit concerning because I required oxygen throughout my hospital stay, and don't have a pulse ox measure nor O2 at home. I get lightheaded when I first sit up, stand, or even just sit up more straight (rather than reclined) in my bed.

Re: What hormone would cause numbness/tingling in extremeties?

That's pretty normal. You're gonna feel like that for awhile. It takes time to recover. I Was so inpatient at first but gradually I started feeling normal after a couple weeks.

I would go to a neurologist if I were you.
Do not wait.
I waited too long after my similar symptoms post hysterectomy.
It turned out to be permanent weakness in both legs.
I needed surgery in my c-spine.

Fortunately I am eating and drinking more now (Day 4), up and walking around the house 2-3 x / day, and not experiencing the numbness / tingling anymore. I still get a little lightheaded in the bathroom sometimes, but I think that's anxiety. Deep breaths help. 👍

Re: What hormone would cause numbness/tingling in extremeties?

I'm glad you're feeling better. That tingliness and dizziness will go away after a the second week. I hated the soreness and it did hurt. I had my hysterectomy in December, too. I had my husband buy me a new heating pad which I used at night and dragged with me everywhere I planned to sit for awhile. The heating pad and the pain pills were awesome. Try not to rush and don't get constipated. That's the worst. Take stool softeners with your pills and try to walk yourself around the house every couple of hours. I was so happy to have my uterus removed. It was nothing but problems for that last six months. Are you going to take HRT? Did you have ovaries removed? Get well but take it easy
