I Did It !!!!!

DonnaFay, and MudPuppy!!!!

SO glad to hear you are both home and doing well!!! I have to admit that one of the main reasons I come to this place are the encouraging "afterstories" like yours telling me that I will be ok! Thanks so much for making a point to come here and share!

Now as far as who is more chicken...hmmm..I think I'm giong to put feathers on my crown when I get it! Maybe the feathers will tickle me out of the worry!

So happy for you both...now just rest and take it easy! Hoping for an uneventful recovery for you both!

My castle day is tomorrow, and reading about your experiences was just the day brightner I needed!

Thanks so much, and congratulations on the shiny new crown you're wearing...it suits you very well !!!

I Did It !!!!!

I had a fabulous night's sleep (6 solid hours + three more after a brief bathroom break) and I woke up in *no* pain. Even after doing some moving around, Advil/ibuprofen has been doing a great job for me. I just walked up the stairs for the first time since I got home yesterday, and already there's huge improvement in how I feel.

I'm now going to try showering or washing up, then I'll nap for a bit before starting on some short walks. I know this will be a long recovery process but it's very exciting to know I'm on the path to feeling really good!

Btw, we're all admonished to not do any heavy lifting, bending over abruptly, etc., but I can't imagine why anyone would want to those things anyway... ow! My body will let me do exactly what it's allowed to do right now -- shuffle from room to room slightly bent over and get in and out of bed
