I LOVED these ideas...

I also bought some larger undies (2 sizes larger than what I usually wear - is that big enough?)- but bought the all cotton ones with the soft cotton banded waist & legs - no elastic! Wore them all the time after each pregnancy.............. I've also invested in several waist-less dresses. Thought those would be MUCH more comfy & look 'presentable' than about anything else.

Next on my list is a couple pairs of elastic waist shorts & a wedge pillow.

I also 'splurged' & bought a pretty nighty with matching robe (& some slippers). I'm saving it for at the hospital (or when I come home, whatever). Something new & pretty always helps ease the pain, is what I have found!

We also live in a rural area - but I'm sure my house will have a fair stream of visitors. No one staying too long, just long enough to bring flowers & drop off food or pick up the kids. We're surrounded by elderly widow women whom we 'care' for usually, they'll be excited to be able to care for us!

Good luck &

Robin

now, this may sound odd, but I also picked up a couple of pair of cotton maternity panties...haven't needed those in 15 years!, but the elastic - what there is of it - looked a lot more comfortable than the elastic that's on the regular ones. Last thing on my list is a nice robe-n-nightie set. Bought a silky-satiny gown, but didn't see a robe to match...amazing how much 'better' shopping can make us feel!

thanks

What wonderful ideas from all of you ladies, thanks so much! I love the idea for the LuvPats, I already wear those, Ill just get the larger size. I too was concerned about the elastic around the waist so I think a dress for around the house will be terrific.

On a brighter note: I was an awful mess the other night, crying and complaining about everything, but in the light of day and after reading so many wonderful posts...I feel much better, even went out today and got some plants for the patio, cleaned out the closet...all stuff I wanted to do but thought so many other things "needed" to be done first...so what if the house isn't spottless before the surgery, so what if I dont have a million meals in the freezer, PBJ is a good meal, right? LOL

Keep those wonderful ideas coming...shopping for all the goodies will truely keep my mind off of all the other stuff.
