Run not walk away

KSyardbird
Run, not walk away from any DR that is not sympathetic to what his patient wants. I am aware that some DRs don't like an informed patient but as far as I am concerned that is the best kind of patient. Most of the DRs that push for removing everything just never learned to properly remove the uterus without bothering the cervix. If you need to get two or three other opinions. I had a well recommended private practice DR who wouldn't perform the SAH that I asked for citing the cervical cancer risks but that is stupid it's not like there aren't things like pap smears to catch things like that at an early stage. I went to a teaching castle and after running across another male that wanted to tell me about my body, I transferred to an all female surgical team. They did a wonderful job but left a man responsible for releasing me from the castle who insisted that I couldn't be in pain and gave me a small dosage of pain pills that didn't work. I called the females back, got a stronger dosage and was finally able to cope and heal. Good luck sweety.

sniffle. sniffle. Finding a new Gyn

Well now, aren't you the sweetest?!?!

Check out my 'FOUND!' thread

https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...threadid=59694

for the latest in the saga.........I did RUN & found a wonderful doctor. Quite a bit farther away - but hey, who can put 'mileage' on good healthcare????

I hope ALL women understand that MEN doctors, just because they are doctors, can NOT understand WOMEN'S bodies or our feelings. & it's condescending of them to think they do. Not ALL men are like that....but the few who are - woof! Makes life tougher for all of us!!!

Thanks for the input!!!
