Hi TJ

Hi TJ
I also have LMP Borderline stage IIIB. MD Anderson in Houston is a leading researcher in borderline tumors. They have done extensive studies on chances of recurrence and have a lot of info regarding borderline. I would be happy to share some links with you if you are interested. I am currently working with them on my type of borderline tumor.

I can't remember what stage you are, and I can't see it right now, I think Dorrie's was early stage. If you are early stage ( I or II) you are really lucky. The recurrence factor rises with late stage (III or IV). So another mark for you in the positive column!

Since my dx in on 10/30/01 I have tried to be a human sponge regarding borderline and ovca.

I can HONESTLY understand your avoidance with your testing. Don't do this. For one, it can take a week for your CA125 numbers to come back. So look at it as get the test then walk away from it. It is not like they are going to hit you with bad news when they draw the blood. Secondly, if you were going to have a recurrence chances are it wouldn't be this soon, so you are safe relatively in that department.

Knowledge is power. This is your health. Take control, be proactive, it will honestly help. Believe me I have anxiety over my disease, but trying to know everything I can about my own health has to be better than not.

Take Care - Robin S
email me anytime regarding LMP or your anxieties regarding this disease.

thanks!!!

Hi!
Thanks to all of you who have replied. You gave me some courage and I went today to get the test done. I truly appreciate all your words of kindness and support.
Robin, I would appreciate any links you have found that are good...thanks for offering.
I haven't had the courage yet to call about the bowel troubles, but I figure, I will have to talk to the docs when the results are back, so I am going to do that next week. That gives me one week to built up enough courage to tell them my concerns. Sounds easy enough, but it is so much easier to deny and avoid it....
Thanks again and love to all,
TJ
