Two days until LSH, not LAH, and getting a little ansy:)

Hello sisters,

I am two days and counting from my LSH surgery and I am happy to say that other than a little butterfly in the stomach, I am kinda looking forward to it. I am looking forward to the happy IV and the rest, although a possible uncomfortable one, I am ready. The morning of, I may be a bit more nervous, but I am going on my own, which means noone is taking me or going to be with me. I am taking the bus to the hospital which is just down the street from me.

The only thing that is totally stressing me out is the possibility that the doctor cannot complete the surgery laparscopically. I talked with him about my ovaries and we agreed that if all can be done lap wise, then take them and if by some unfortunate chance he can't, then leave them. I so desperately want to go on my little trip on the 17th. I know it is really pushing it, but I can be stubborn and just dumb about things like that. I don't want to dissapoint my Dad and stepmom even though they will understand. It is my own fault for going for the surgery this soon and cutting it so close.

I decided to take my Enulose(lactulose) syrup to clean out my bowels the night before just to be safe. If anyone is suffering or struggling from getting their bowels and gas to move and get regular, this stuff is a miracle. It works so well for me and I have been having a horrible time with constipation for years.

Have a wonderful weekend ladies

Hi Judy,
I am 6 days post op for LSH I am feeling pretty dang good. Aside from the BM issue.
I think you are wise to clean things out prior to surgery. I was not told to do so. Had I..... I am sure things would have been easier. (start things back up with soft foods only there to begin with)

As for going on vacation? That is pushing it....... but you sound much more brave than me. If you do go, please do not lift anything heavy and rest a lot !

Even thought I feel good, if I was thinking about goiing on vacatioon 10 days from now, I might be nervious.
BUT than who knows how I will feel 10 days from now........ I could be just great. I STILL wouldnt lift anything!!

You are in my thoughts.......... take care
xo DonnaFay
