Re: No more periods! Woo hoo!

I love that I no longer have periods. I even bought a pair of white shorts and light colored capri pants this year Wore a lot of black in the past because I never knew when my period would hit, and I would have accidents all the time. I can go swimming whenever the mood suits me and never will have labor-like cramps again.

Re: No more periods! Woo hoo!

Many years ago, I had a coworker who was struggling with very bad menopausal symptoms. She was on HRT, with instructions to take pills 3 weeks on and 1 week off, like birth control pills.

She told her doctor that her dose wasn't high enough; she was suffering and needed more.

He hold her that he couldn't raise the dose of the pills, but she could take them for 4 weeks straight - only she wouldn't have periods anymore.

She was amazed that all the time she was on HRT, she didn't have to have periods and nobody told her. Male doctors who think we love our periods and will miss them when we don't have them anymore.

Re: No more periods! Woo hoo!

Im 4 weeks post-op and feel absolutely wonderful. Although I still have a swelly belly, which actually doesnt bother me at this point because I always had a belly before. But I did notice today that the pants I wore home from the hospital, and were super tight, we loose on me. Woohoo! some progress. I even washed the floor today. I try to only do one household job a day right now. And so far all is good. NO pain, periods, staining everything in site, and constantly having to pee. I noticed that I dont have to run to the bathroom all the time and the pain I had in my upper thighs is gone. This was the best decision I made.

No more periods!

Well I just realized that I would normally be starting my period right about now. I am super stoked that those days are over! Anyone else with me?
I am exactly 3 weeks PO today and the last 2 days have been great!

No more periods! Woo hoo!

I'm right with you sister! I haven't had any periods for the past 7 months since my surgery, and I feel awesome! I took all that money I was spending on sanitary products, and bought some cute white undies and beige pants. I've also said good riddance to Aunt Flo's frequent surprise visits during swim practice or yoga class, or while I'm stuck in traffic. So let's all give a big to life on the other side!

Re: No more periods!

I am so happy about this! No more 14 day periods and fingers crossed- bleeding during and after sex. I guess I just have to see if I still have cramps with ovulation. My periods were debilitating with bloating, cramps, heavy bleeding, diarrhea, back pain and pressure from the prolapses. I am not going to miss any of that one bit!!!

Re: No more periods!

Last night I finally pulled all of my tampons out of the cabinet...Im thinking about having a ceremonial bonfire in the backyard

I am holding on to some of the pads in case something comes up with spotting or bladder issues.

I deleted my period app from my phone the day after surgery. So happy to be free of the pain and super heavy period days!
