Panic

Hi, Kyia -

You're welcome :-) - Yes, I have..still am, for that matter. But it is amazing how strong we can be if we grab hold of all the different things that give us strength - be it religion, support groups, friends, family, thoughts of the future, etc. (Hey, for me, living in the Pacific Northwet, one of those things is the sunshine we're having right now!) And I am a firm believer that sometimes we just have to cry or scream or stamp our feet or whine :-). That doesn't mean you aren't strong.

You hang in there. Do what you need to take care of yourself. And keep us updated on how you're doing.

Remember: This too shall pass!

Cheers,

shingles

Hi Kiwi,
I had shingles a couple of years ago and they are very painful so I sympathize with you. The good news is they don't last a very long time. Take your meds and you should probably be over them by the time you go in for surgery.
Wish you the best!!

Panic

I hope you feel better soon. The good news is that shingles don't usually come back. They CAN return, but usually don't. Also, they usually don't last long, and the drugs in use now really shorten the duration of the outbreak, in my experience. It's good you saw your doctor right away and got something, I think that the sooner the drugs are started the better it is.
