Back from pre-op

Hi sisters!
I just got back from pre-op so I guess I am good to go for the trip to the castle on Friday. I already have a little red id 'bracelet' so I look like I am out on a day pass from some mental facility. I had a wonderful visit with my doctor and felt so well prepared after all the reading and corresponding on this website so a big thanks to you all. He took lots of time and answered all my questions and was so encouraging in general that even though I am apprehensive, I am not having the pre-op panic attack. It almost seems like the closer I get to it the calmer I get. Don't get me wrong - I am nervous, but so ready to get it done. I AM ALMOST THERE!!! I have about five days worth of work to do before Friday so I MUST limit my visits to Hyster Sisters to once every hour instead of every 5 or 10 minutes!
Thanks again and I will be back on line in an hour!

Back from pre-op

Hi, Selina -

Glad the preop went well - that's probably one reason you're kinda calm, cause you feel prepared! We all react a bit differently, and I think the key is to realize that whatever reaction you're having is ok. You'll do great!!

The bracelet

I love that--a day pass from some mental facility. Thanks for the laugh!

Glad your pre-op went so well. The gyns must thing they are getting a bunch of well-informed patients, thanks to hyster sisters. I bet our mothers didn't know enough to ask any questions at all!

I'll be praying that your calm continues and we'll be looking for your post-op message when you feel up to it.
