Welcome Denise

I am so glad you decided to post even if it did take vodka and ginger beer. Welcome to Hystersisters.
By the way I LOVE Wales and have really only been to the South. Stayed in Laugharne a few years back (I am sure I spelled that wrong even though it is probably one of the easier Welch words to spell.) A great place with wonderful people that I hope to return to one day.
I am so glad you have a great DH now.It sounds like you have created a very nice family together.
You must be very relieved to know that your surgery is finaly scheduled. It will come and go and you will soon be on the otherside. You will do just fine and soon have all this behind you.
I too enjoy a drink from time to time although I must tell you it will hit you harder after your surgery.
One of the Pre-Op Guides I read suggested to refrain from alcohol for about 2 weeks prior to surgery. I made sure I did just to be on the safe side. (They suggested the same thing regarding cigarettes but I know that can be harder to put down if you're a smoker. Fortunately I had quit a long time ago.)
As you are young I am sure you will recover well and feel strong and so much better when you have recovered. Like many women here I feel better than ever.
Keep reading and posting please.
Let us know how you are doing when you get home too.

My Story

Denise,

You're in the right place!

Along with the others, I'd like to thank you for the laugh. *A reason I don't compute with my friend Jose Cuervo* and offer you all the support one can through the online exchange!

You've been through so much that I doubt there is a portion of your body that would let you stay too scared for too long. You seem to have a habit of landing on your feet, m'dear.

Take care, and we look forward to seeing you post again.

Hey Joby

So you are from Mississippi too. That is great finding someone from the state I live in. If you don't mind me asking where do you live. I live in Caledonia. Just wanted to say hey back.

My Story

Hey, Denise--I'm a Denise, too! And I have boy/girl twins who are almost 8. Oh, and I love beer, although I've never had a ginger one. Now I most definitely will have to search one out!

I was recently diagnosed with fibroids and am still getting second opinion(s), having ultrasounds, and researching the options out there. This is a great place with many wonderful, supportive ladies. Good luck in your upcoming surgery!
