3 month check-up

Hi, Ladies...have my three month check-up on the 23rd...Am quite nervous about it....Still quite swollen and don't have much of an apetite and this adds of course, to my concern....had a hysterectomy on Feb 18th--endometrial cancer diagnosis...and just need some hugs and support right now....Thanks for being here...Hugs...Fran

You are suffering from what we call ' cancer head' . Most of us go through it and it usually happens in the days or weeks just before a checkup. All the whats ifs .... I know what you are going through. It does take awhile to feel any where near normal after having the hyster, so be patient with your self.

Good luck at your appointment. I just had my post op appt and was fine with it that day....I got that "cancer head" that night just thinking about it too much...I'm telling myself to just remain positive and so I pass that on to you too....remain positive!

Cancer head is a perfect term--we all have it around checkup/test time. It's normal. Plus, three months isn't all that long for such major surgery and you're still adjusting. I get my next bloodwork the end of May and already am thinking about it a bit. Right now I am promising myself that when I see the doctor on 6/4 I will be calm and poised and won't screech "What's the CA125" and scare the poor guy again! Cancer head. Please let us know the results--I got a good feeling as I read your post it'll be a good report for you.

I surely can relate to all that has been said, and am keeping you in my thoughts till the 23rd. I never knew just how the cancer head could creep up on us...for a while after surgery, I just "forgot" about everything. Now that it is time for checkups, it gets a bit scary. Thank goodness for all the sisters out there! We will be with you!
