I have an appt. Tuesday (5/14) to discuss hysterectomy with my doctor. After suffering almost 30 years, after 2 surgeries to remove cysts and endometriosis, I landed in his office last week about to faint from severe bleeding and pressure and pain. I am also experiencing perimenopause so I keep hoping this whole thing should just go away....

Last week my gyn said if we did a hysterectomy he'd have to "take it all." I also have Lupus so I am afraid of complications.

I guess I'd just like to hear how others made their decisions about having a hysterectome....

Thanks!

Praying for you!

Hi Michelle!!!

First...'s, and lots of them!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your pain and other problems, not to mention the Lupus!! Maybe if you made a list of the pro's and con's, it might help put things into perspective. May also raise a few questions to ask your gyn when you see him next.

Will be ing for you!!!!

Take care hon!

Hi Michelle !!

Having a hysterectomy is a personal decision -- definitely talking to your Dr. & family should help . Mine was an easy decision, I had cervical carsinoma insitu, huge fibroids, and endo. The pain alone made the decision for me!! Don't know alot about Lupus, so that's another factor for you.
Wishing you the best with your decision !!!! Let us know!

Jubilee -- 45yrs. TAH/BSO for cervical carsinoma insitu, huge fibroids, and endo.
