There in Spirit

Just think of all of us being there with you in spirit, holding your hand, or doing whatever needs doing--and hopefully afterwards, celebrating good news.

Thanks sisters!!!!

Well, another 3 month checkup over and done with. I thought I was really going to be fine but my blood pressure was going through the roof when I sat on that lovely examination table and the nurse took my BP. Thankfully, I am aware of this aweful stress response when I'm the patient (would you believe I work in healthcare????), so I have been checking my BP each week and I gave my normal BP readings to the nurse. Anyway......my physical exam went well but I'm now scheduled for a PET scan on Thursday the 16th, this week, to "go looking" as I put it. I also had a pap smear today. I asked the doctor why a pap and he said that eventhough it is very slim that this cancer, leiomyosarcoma would show up in the vagina (and he recommended that all continue with the paps) that it can still detect abnormal cells that he would be unable to see or feel. So, I'm coming up on my 1 year anniversary...my the time :time2: sure flies and I want to be able to say I'm cancer free!!!!

I have not posted much but have been around almost daily. I gain a lot of strength knowing you are all here. I admire your will and determination. This may sound really stupid, but sometimes I envy the fact that some of you are having radiation or chemo. Please understand chemo and radiation for me is not very effective. We've got to find it and cut it out before it gets very far. I am very lucky to be having PET scans!!!

Yes, my husband and I opened a bottle of wine and celebrated :!!!!

Thank you for you support and just being here!!!!!
