dVH/RALH 4 days post hysterectomy: Belly Button Oozing ��

Um...is it normal for your belly button to ooze? It's all clear liquid and has no odor...it's only my 4th day of post op recovery so I hope I didn't do anything wrong. Please someone help me!

Mine is doing the same thing. I am on day 5.

I called my doctors office. They said to watch it. If fever, incision is hot to touch, flue like symptoms, call right away. If it hasn't stopped by Wednesday, they are going to have me see my doc. The nurse said it is a hard place to heal.

It is very sore for me too. It is not completely clear for me. It is reddish.

Sigh. Hoping I wake up tomorrow and it is better.

Yeah I kept trying to get a hold of my doctor but she had surgery today so I was waiting for the nurse to call me back. Same information was given lol except for the Wednesday part...she just said that I need to keep an eye on it. Waking up tomorrow being better would be nice! Good luck to you as well 💐

Ugh. Still oozing. Now running low grade fever. 99.5. Ache all over. They are having me come in.

I was admitted. They think I have an infection. IV antibiotics. Cat scan.

They are looking for a pocket of infection. If one is found it will have to be drained.

Oh man...quick question, how much was your belly button oozing? If I dab mine with a sterile pad it leaves a wet spot the size of like sunflower kernel..but it's still pretty clear. What was yours like exactly?

It wasn't even oozing anymore this afternoon. I think the huge issue was fever and feeling like I had the flu.

Gotcha...my temp has been anywhere from 97.6 to 98.7 and I feel fine just nervous about my belly button which kind of makes me ill just from stress I guess lol
