re:cyndiHGP

I took a look at your surgery date and it said 6/14...and I thought to myself, hmmm wow, I'm just 5 days after her! Then I read your little bio at the bottom and it said "just 4 more weeks" or something like that...ACK!!! Scared myself silly! It hit me that it isn't that far off, is it? Oh my! so much to do...so little time now.

I am seeing myself in such a different light nowadays with the planning of this up and coming event. I have realized that part of my "losing it" and nervousness is due to the fact that I won't be in control of situations the way I am now. I won't be the one preparing meals, I won't be the one cleaning (not that DH and kiddos don't help out now, I just do it better, lol!) I have got to learn to let go and let eveyone take care of me for a change.

Why is this so hard to do? Is anyone else having this problem of letting go?

Letting Go

Speaking of letting go. I hate thinking about going under anesthesia and not being "in control". I hate to think of it. I asked my son who is going to be a doctor and has seen a lot of surgeries if they do weird things while we are asleep. He reassured me that they play music and talk but not about you. They just talk about golf and other stuff while they are working on you.

I'm actually having a hard time thinking that someone is going to have to take care of me. I've been taking care of my husband for so long that it's hard to have to make anyone go through that for me so I'm hoping to be up and about really soon.

We should all relax a little though and "let go" and take a break so I hope I can do that for a little while. But it is hard.

I've got my wristband on already for my Monday surgery. It's getting real.

I have to admit I probably wouldn't be going through with it if it weren't for all of you wonderful ladies that have given me encouragement and commraderie (sp?).

Thanks so very much.
