Pre Op bleeding!!

Hello, I have a quick question.

For about a week now, I've been having to go to the bathroom more than usual..sometimes an extra three times in the night but there's been no pain associated with it so I've tried to ignore it. My hyst is June 10th. This morning, on day three of my mens. cycle, I woke up to go to the bathroom and had a quick sharp pain in my abdomen (not too bad though) and there was more blood mixed with the urine than usual. I laid down a while and about two hours later, tried again and there was less blood, no pain but after I was finished, a little came out. Is this an endo symptom? Should I be nervous? Well, geez, I guess I'm already nervous, I'm writing this post!! Please help, my body is falling apart!!!

Pre Op bleeding!!

Notify your doc this is happening. I don't know what endo does, exactly, I've only seen pictures of it on the net. It may do that, and I'd venture to say it was because of your period, but call doc to see what s/he says.

Pre Op bleeding!!

Hi, Clusswoman! Without a dr being able to look inside your uterus, I don't think there's any way to tell exactly why you have a pain and then increased menstrual bleeding. Endo is outside the uterus, but adenomyosis is a related condition inside the uterus. Fibroids and polyps inside the uterus also can cause pain and increased bleeding (sometimes with large clots). If you have severe pain or extremely heavy bleeding, call your dr.

The frequent urination could be from pressure on your bladder from several possible problems in the pelvis. Has your dr said if you have an enlarged or prolapsed uterus, or large fibroids? Hopefully when you have your uterus removed, the bladder pressure will be relieved and eliminate the frequent urination. You should mention this to your dr before surgery, so he can check everything out.

Maybe this will be your last period (visit from Aunt Flow) before your hyst--your last one ever! s and best wishes!
