Suggestions for keeping nerves away the morning of...

Hi Caren,

I wasn't nervous til the night before, but the day of, driving to the hosp and waiting for my turn, I was very calm. Even though my surgery got delayed by 3-1/2 hours.

How far a drive is the hospital? And how much traffic, but at 4:45 I wouldn't think that would be a problem. If you feel up to driving yourself that morning, it will keep your mind occupied for a little while.

Thanks Mary Lou,

I am hoping for that Calm Feeling Monday morning. It is about a 20 min drive is all with almost no traffic at that time of the morning. As I do tend to be a bit of a loner sometimes, I think I will actually like the few minutes of time alone.

I am to take my bag to the floor that I will be admited to. They will have my room assignment (ok, a little special treatment thanks to one of the nurses on the floor ). I think I will stop at Dunkin Donuts on the way for a little bribe for the night nurses. After all, it will be 5:30am! Who knows maybe there will be some left over for the day shift and I will have brided them all!

I didn't sleep well last night. I just took a bath with some lavender oil in the water. Then fell asleep on the couch. I think I will go to bed early tonight. I work a 12 hr shift tomorrow. Before I know it, this will all be over and I will be back here telling all of you "the wait is the worst"!!!

Thanks for letting me ramble today. I needed that!

Caren
