Ok I have surgery next wed. so I need help. I know this has been brought up before and I'm sorry if I'm repeating. But I need help in figureing out what to put on the note. I'm going to put a smiley face and DH suggested puting handle with care but keep some hair. I don't know about that one. So if those that have had surgery before or that are having surgery could yall please give me some suggestions. I'm haveing a TAH with ovaries removed. Also how to you put the notes on yall stomach. Thank yall so much.

I had my DH write notes on my arm, near where the info/ID bracelet and IV went. I figured if I put them on my stomach they'd either get washed off, or covered with draping. I didn't do anything fun, just a reminder of what surgery I was having, and a note about drug sensitivities (no morphine for me, thanks).

If you're just writing fun stuff, then it wouldn't matter if it got scrubbed off. I think I'd use a water-based felt marker for fun stuff. Doesn't Crayola make some markers that wash right off, for "kids" who write on themselves?

Funny!!

Gina,

I'm sure what ever you write, you're doc will get a big kick out of it. I wish I had thought to do that!! Sounds like your husband has come up with a good one!

Where do you live in MS, I'm from Gulfport.

Take care and God Bless. I'll say a prayer for you on Monday!

I am going to write on my sticker....."don't forget the tummy tuck". I want one badly, but cannot afford to pay for one, so I thought while they have me cut open, why not........................I know, I know, it's not gonna happen, but it's worth a try

Hyster Stickers

I had thought about writing "Do Not Open Until Christmas" on my tummy, but don't want to postpone anything!

Then I thought of "Fragile, Handle With Care." or "Cut on the Dotted Line."

I wish the Hystersisters Mall sold Hyster Stickers. That would be so much fun! And a little free advertising for our site, too!

Oh, well. Maybe just a smiley face.

Figured it out

Ok I'm going to put a smiley face (try to find a big one) then I'm going to put Property of Dr (doctor's name) handle with care but please leave some hair cause I don't like to be bare. Have a wonderful day. Do yall think this is too tacky. And I too wish Hystersister site sold stickers.

Gina, I think that sounds great. Anything you write will make the docs laugh, and we all like happy docs.

Inside Joke

I have an inside joke with my Dr. On the day of my U/S, here I am on the stir-ups and Dr. pipes up and says, "Does it smell like popcorn in here?" Timing really couldn't have been better. Incidentally, it did smell like popcorn and someone from his staff microwaved some popcorn. And let me tell you, I am sure glad that that person didn't decide to have clams.

Anyway, I am going to put a smiley sticker with a close caption cloud on top and I wrote on it "Hi Dr. Do you smell popcorn in here?"

I agree with the other sisters, no matter what you put, it will still be unique and funny.

Take Care and God Bless You!!!
