Incisional Hernia

Well ladies, looks like I have the incision hernia 3 months post op!

I have been having pain in my belly button incision for about 1 week, thought I over did something, and didn't really think about it, till last night, when I was folding laundry and felt something pop!!

I felt this before when I sat up suddenly, saw dr about it, said it was either a small hernia or a suture granuloma, this happened months ago..the pain went away..but seems like I am left with this..

The past 2 weeks or so, I have cleaned out my attic and helped my sister move to an apartment..I was lifting ALOT of boxes..so I must have done something..

Just alittle suprised this happened so fast after the surgery, mine was done all laproscopically..was hoping this would just go away..

I have a call into both my primary dr and my ob, but my ob and his associates have left the hospital that I had my surgery in..he is on call tomorrow, so I quess he'll call then.

Ugh, was hoping everything would be ok..

This is kinda painful and weird feeling..can actually feel it poppin in and out, yuk!!

If anyone else had this problem, let me know how it was treated.

Thanks.

Incisional Hernia

Hi Anna,

I'm so sorry you're having this problem. I didn't experience an incisional hernia, but if you use the "Search" button at the top, right side of the page and enter "hernia" as your keyword, you will find other posts discussing this.

I hope you're resting until you speak or see your Dr.

Best wishes and s

Incisional Hernia

Hi Tina:

Thanks for the advice, ofcourse I already did a search and see that a hernia is not that uncommon after a hysterectomy or any surgery for that matter...

I am doing as little as possible till I see the Dr on Wednesday..seems to help, the less I do the less it hurts.

Thanks again.
