Since my 'dryness spell, all over my body:

My eyelids itch in the morning. I tried a a light application of coconut oil. Worked good, but later tried to apply eyeliner and it just bubbled.

I want to avoid anything with alcohol anybody tried Aloe Gel ?

Re: Eye Moisturizer Tips - Aloe Gel?

If you are looking for home remedies, have you tried applying a cool, wet tea bag over your eyelids for a short time? Also there are commercial products approved for use on the eyelids, not just under eye, but I don't know if they help itch. Have you even tried just a cool wet washcloth laid over your eyelids for a minute? If it's on eyelids, I wouldn't go too far applying things not meant for use near eyes. Also, maybe your eye Dr has some tips.

Re: Eye Moisturizer Tips - Aloe Gel?

I have tried tea bags after crying, that's been helpful. Can try. Make morning and pat with tea bag before tossing, great idea. Thank you.

I just wondered about aloe being a little lighter. But I hadn't thought of calling my eye Dr.

Will try. Seems even baby wash( tear free) lately seems to worsen it.

Ugh, every stinking thing on me is so darned dry right now.

Feel like I could sit in a tub of oil forever......:/

Re: Eye Moisturizer Tips - Aloe Gel?

Before applying anything to or around the eye, you need to talk to your doctor. The tiniest thing can cause serious issues with the eye. My DH was just at the ophthalmologist again yesterday.

I can share that my sister was told to wash her eye lids with baby shampoo. That is suppose to help clean them and prevent dryness. So you could try that. Otherwise, check with your doctor so you don't create a new problem while trying to treat another.
