the first cancer chat ...

Girls ... sorry about all of the confusion with the chat link but there was a glitch with aim at first. But after it was all sorted out , I think it went quite well. Thanks to the admin team for working on it

Sorry if I was in and out lots but I was trying to find any lost girls who might have been trying to get in.

A big thankyou to katie for helping to open the chat room at first, while I shephered you girls in , she kept you there

So next time it will go a bit more smoothly I hope, but these new ventures always have things to be ironed out in the beginning. We will let you know when the next one is .

Love and hugs to each and every one of you x x x

Don't feel bad, Robyn -- it was good to talk to everybody, even though I could only stay a little while -- thanks a lot for facilitating the chat...

Love always,

Cyndy

s Robyn

It was great fun. Even for an inexperienced chatter like me. Hopefully it will be easier to get into next time. I might not have made it if Maria hadn't pulled me in somehow. I still don't even know how she did this. I definitely need a computer class.
I wish our AIM names matched our hyster names more closely. I need a list to keep track.
If anyone is newly signing up for AIM for future cancer chats, try to keep your AIM name similar so that I can recognize you faster!!!

Bravo!

And well done! thanks for all the effort. It was worth it! I hope we can do this again!

Karen, I wish there was an easy way I could change my AIM screen name to my name here. It predates my membership here by years and years and I've long since outgrown it. <sigh> My guess is that many of us have the same problem.

the first cancer chat ...

It was a nice time and nice to meet eveyone in "real time"!!
Maybe the next one could be on a weekend afternoon maybe just after suppertime, to accomodate other timezones, and those who find the evening time not convenient.

Susan thank you for hauling me into the room!! You're a doll!!xo

Karen my friend.....you kindly took our discussion of this chat idea to the powers that be, so you can be sure I will always haul you in when you need it. I will let you know how easy it is to do that at the next one. Just a matter of clicking invite friend to chat, and typing their name in, and off goes the message and the person has the option to click join or decliine!! But in the future if the link is there, we won't need to haul people in, we can all just click on the link and voila! we will be there!

Thanks Kathy for allowing this and Robyn for organizing it! We all have so much in common on this forum that it was really, really nice!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!
M. xoxo

Chat Room Time!

I really enjoyed the chat room experience! I type so slow it is pathetic and spell even worse :confuse: It was so nice to talk with you in real time. Thanks for welcoming in cancer concerns even though my ca was confined to my breast. I really find it hard to fit in these days.....I don't feel "normal" anymore!
