I feel the same way.

Hi Audrey,
I am feeling the same way. I feel so bad from my dh and my 2 ds's. If I am not biting their heads off, I am in tears.

I have been reading all the great posts and know that although it is not a walk in the park, things WILL get better! And don't we deserve a better quality of life.

When you think about it, we have less than 2 weeks to go - everyone says the last week is the worst and the waiting is the worst part of the whole thing. Our wait is almost over!

Before we know it, we will be on the other side!

Try to keep calm, thing POSITIVE thoughts and email me anytime you need to vent!!!

Lots of s to you!

Oh, I know how you feel. I am a June 4ther and I'm SOOO ready. I'm just counting down the days. School ends on 5/31 and then 4 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm thinking of packing my bag now!!!!!!! It's like waiting to give birth--I'm just giving birth to my uterus and thankfully I don't get to take it home

HI getting the blues !!!

Hi Audrey, I'm Pat. This is my first post here, and I am having my surgery on June 5th also. I am dreading it for a whole bunch of reasons. I was totally shocked when the Dr. told me that I had to have a TAH. There is so much going on in the rest of my life that I just do not need this! To top everything off, I finally landed a position at the top of my field, just 1 week before I learned of my health problems. I thank God that my new bosses were understanding of my health issues. (I had to tell them before my contract was actually signed!) (There are five of them, four men! LOL)

As for myself, I am terrified of the surgery itself. Or I guess I mean the recovery. Because of my new job, I need to get back on my feet as quickly as possible. It scares me to read that some women need 6 or 8 weeks before they can return to work. I need to be back to part time after 2 weeks! (I am the sole breadwinner in our house right now.) I also have never had anything majorly wrong with me. I did have my tubes tied after my second son was born, but it was just one more day in hospital, and a 1/2 inch incision.

I have not yet let myself start to deal with the fact that the reason I am having a TAH is because of a large cyst on my left ovary, which the Dr. "hopes" isn't cancerous. (Jerk) That fear will come later I'm sure.

Sorry for the rant, just totally stressed!!

HI getting the blues !!!

Audrey, I'm sorry that this is causing you such dread. I understand that you aren't prepared for it. Does it ever come at a good time in our lives? Well, yes, perhaps for me because I've been asking for it and this new Dr. said I NOW have a good reason for it. And, being a teacher, I have the summer off and expect it to take a good part of the summer to recover. 6 weeks of no exercise and not lifting so much as a gallon of milk.

We'll get through this. Hang in there dear!

Well only a few more days. I am one of those June 5ther also and I a just ready to get it over with. I had a laproscopic on May the 9th and have got an infection and now I am taking antibotics till my surgery. I will so glad to get it over with. Surely it will not take 6 weeks to get back on my feet. I was hoping 3-4. I am very nervous about the whole thing and the hospital stay. But I cannot wait to have some relief. I am tired of being grouchy and moody.
