May 29 my day

hello everyone. Well, I'm two days away from my surgery. TAH, vertical incision due to a "large" ovarian cyst on my right ovary. I feel good just look pregnant! The girls at work are teasing me asking if I'm pregnant! Uhg, that is not a good thought at 41! Anyway, the docs tell me it is "screeching" benigh, paps have been normal, so I'm holding onto these postives. Getting nervous, who an I kidding I am NERVOUS. The surgery itself isn't scaring me, just what are they going to find once they're in there. Anyway, please keep me in your thoughts, and would love to hear from anyone with similar circumstances.

Have a wonderful day,

Julie

Dear Julie,

Welcome to Hystersisters!! I'm glad that you found us, and want to reassure you that it's perfectly normal to be nervous right now.

Have you had a chance to read over the pre-op and post-op hints on our main page?

Pre-Op Hysterectomy Articles

Hysterectomy Recovery Articles

Be sure to go back into your profile and enter your surgery date, when you get a chance.

I'll be praying that your doctor is right and that everything turns out to be benign.

Hi Julie

I just wanted to add another hello and welcome to Hystersisters. I am so glad you have found us and decided to post.
As Karen said please do check out all the pull down menu's and Princess's Tell Their Stories. I think the more you read and know the more relaxed you will fell. It also helps pass the time when you are counting down the hours.
I am sure all will be well. Hang in there and keep breathing. Soon a you will be.
