Got My Date!!!

Well, I was really looking forward to getting my date- and now that I have I feel kinda depressed. First of all it is a day before my 45th birthday. The nurse told me the 14th or the 17th- I figured I would get it over with because I wouldnt have a great birthday anyway- knowing I was having the surgery 2 days later. Than the nurse tells me the hospital I was suppose to have the surgery doesnt take my insurance. Bummer! So I have to go to a difference one about 45 minutes from my house. But I dont know anything about the hospital. Looked it up on the internet and it said it was #1 heart hospital.. I know I have a excellent surgeon but I really wanted to go to the other hospital which I knew about. Isnt the hospital important too? Thanks for listening!!!!

Got My Date!!!

Hi Shelley,

I know what you mean about the hospital. We've got a great one and a good one near where I live. I had my dd at the good one quite a few years ago. I had my surgery at the great one - what a difference. Granted, it's almost unfair to compare them after all these years, but I definitely noticed a difference.

I'm sorry it didn't work out the way you want. Perhaps the hospital will exceed your expectations. It really bugs me that insurance companies are so involved!

All the best to you for a successful surgery and recovery.

Hi Shelley

Sometimes thing surprise us. So keep that in mind. I know it is a little farther but just think you are getting your problems taken care of. I had my surgery 3 days after my 51 birthday. I couldn't enjoy my birthday because of nerves. But you know what it was all for nothing. I got along wonderful I feel great now almost a year later and have a better life. So I know that you have to feel nervous but just keep your eyes on what you get at the end! Forgot to wish you God Bless so here is double, God Bless
