fluid filled ?

I am 2 weeks post of tomorrow TAH/BSO. Today I found a fluid filled whatever under the tape where a staple had been removed. The doctor told me to use hot water and heating pad to drain every 30 minutes and let him know if I developed a temp. I am still on antibiobitcs through tomorrow. Anyone else had this experience?

Hi Kallie,

I'm sorry you're experiencing this problem. I didn't have any problems with my incision, but what you're describing sounds a lot like what others have posted about called a seroma.

You can do a search by using the Search button at the top of the page and using "seroma" as your keyword. Then you can see if what others have posted about is the same problem that you have.

I hope it clears up quickly for you!
