Peri-menopause, Fibro/lupus flare, flu or just notorious week 4 post hysterectomy

Because I have chronic health challenges, and two teens and others are in and out of the house with possible germs, I'm not sure what I'm experiencing. I have lupus, fibromyalgia, had a TAH, keeping both ovaries, and two open wounds were the rebuild of my perenium opened in two spots..

I'm in the notorious week 4, and yesterday I thought I was having my first fibro flare since my surgery given I was more fatigued and both my legs felt like I had been running even though I've been taken care of really well.

Today I'm naseuated, tired, achy, chills on and off, hot flashes with face warm, temperature up and down but not over 100. I get a wierd hypoglycemic type feeling a couple times a day.

I can't decide if I need to be tested for the flu. Given I planned to keep my ovaries, maybe its peri menopause but I don't realize it not knowing much about it.

Any information, words of wisdom or links to your stories would be appreciated.

Chills on and off today but fever not higher than 100, so I don't think it is an infection having to do with my perenium.

Still trying to figure out if I'm having true night sweats or its just week 4 and the fact my dog keeps cuddling with me.

Re: Flu,Menopause,Fibro - Confused???

When we have menopausal hot flashes, our temperatures do not actually rise even though we feel hot. For me, hot flashes start in my chest, move up to my ears and spread across my face. Night sweats are similar except I awaken dripping wet. I have to change my PJs because they are sweaty and I get chills because they are wet. I constantly put covers up, then toss them off over and over. It isn't always that severe, but that's what it's like for me.

I also have fibro and when I have a flare, I feel like I'm getting the flu. I don't run a fever with that either. I think your best bet is to consult your doctor on this one. Let us know how it goes.
