Back to Work and Back to Sex

Well I had my 6 week check up today and doc released me.. He says if no problems come back in 4 months. He did say that I still have some internal stitches that have not yet dissolved. I am scared to DEATH!!! I will have to go back to work in Monday and DH would like to resume our love life tonight. I am scared to death of both. (not as much about work as love life LOLOLOL) I thought when I went today all stitches would be gone and I would be good to go. When he said there were still some stitches left my heart dropped to my toes. I know I am probably making myself sick for no reason but was intercourse that bad the first time???

Nellie - Just because dr. releases you doesn't mean you have to do anything you don't feel ready for. I was released for sex at 8 weeks...but chose to wait a tad longer. I was glad I did.

As far as work went...I went back 4 hours a day at 7 weeks...6 hours a day at 8 weeks and full time at 9 weeks. The slow progression back helped me adjust both mentally and physically.

Back to Work and Back to Sex

Don't know about sex, haven't been there yet. As far as work, I went back for 4 hrs daily the first week. Full time the second week. It is difficult but you gradually work yourself back into the routine. good luck (with both job and sex)

Back to Work and Back to Sex

I had my six week check-up yesterday. The doctor gave me the green light for anything that I wanted to do. She explained that there were some stitches yet that hadn't dissolved but that it is a gradual process and everything looked great. She did say that my DH may feel them so I warned him ahead of time. We were both a little nervous (like the first time!) but everything worked just fine. He said he could feel the stitches but it wasn't bad just different. He had experienced the fibroids pushing on my cervix so a few stitches weren't a problem. I go back to work on Monday and I am sooo ready.
