Surgery Canceled

Today was supposed to be my day at the castle. Did everything I was told to last night. Spent a very restless night and got up and went to the hopsital this morning for a 7:30 surgery time. When the "A" guy came in he was reviewing my chart. When he got to the chest x-ray, he says you have an abnormal chest film. Well blow me down! This was the first I have heard of this. Went to the Dr office to pick up orders on Friday, asked is everything ok with the labs and test, was assured that things were fine and the surgery was a go. Needless to say the shock of finding out that I have a abnormal chest film! The Dr said that as far as she was concerned, the surgery is canceled until we find out what is on that film. So she order a stat CAT Scan. Now I'm home waiting word on it! Boy am I scared! I bet I didn't sleep two hours last night and now there is no way that I can sleep! Has anyone had anything like this happen?

{{{super big hugs}}}

I can't help you with this, except to send you a super big and to let you know that you are in my prayers. I know this has got to be awful for you, and you can't help but worry, but try to relax as much as possible, and seek out some inner peace. God will take care of you no matter the outcome on this, and you have all of us here to support you too.
I wish I could be there to hold your hand, and lend you a shoulder,........ I'm with you in spirit and in prayer.
God bless, and please do let us know what you find out.

SO SORRY

Dear Lisa,

I am so sorry your surgey was cancelled and then on top of that to have the chest film read wrong. I hope it is nothing and that everything will be resceduled quick. I had a chest x ray and was sent to a heart doctor where they did an EKG and an ultrasound and found nothing. Someone had misread the X-ray. Let's hope it's something that simple. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Surgery Canceled

to you Lisa,

Our fingers are crossed. Please let us know the results. Breathe slowly. Don't know how that slipped through but I'd find out.

chest x-ray

Hugs to you! Today I went for my chest x-ray. I have this thing that I dont like radiation. So after my chest x-ray was taken he said let me see if they came out before you go. Tech came back in and said lets do this one over- he said I wasnt leaning against the wall enough- I said oh great- more radiation- he said- you really dont have to take it over if you dont want- the bottom is just smigged. He said you can still read it- so I said than I wont take it over- and I left. Hopefully, I wont have any problems when I get to the castle too. And hopefully they misread your x-ray and will reschedule your surgery real fast~~ It seems like in life sometimes there are bumps in the road- Things will work out!!! Hugs to you- Shelley

Cancelled Hyster

Oh Lisa, Know I'm praying for you. Hopefully it's nothing! The sister in law of a friend had a recent hyster. They cancelled hers also telling her she had an abnormal EKG. She said the machine was acting up and she was quite angry. :HOT: They put her through all the "tests", stress, etc. Everything was fine. Turns out *ahem* the EKG machine malfunctioned. So, not everything is "bad news". Hang in there and let us know how things progress. Blessings, Janet :HUG:
