pink/water discharge??

Hi everyone,
I'm new here. Had a LAVH with LSO on May 30th. Until this afternoon, I had no discharge at all. A few good sneezes and all of a sudden I'm having this pink watery discharge. I'm wondering if I undid the vaginal stitches or something. My pain is minimal (no pain pills since day 4), and I feel almost good as new, but my husband is still making me spend the greater part of the day in bed. Love the pampering, but I'm bored. Do I need to still take it easy?

pink/water discharge??

Hi Shannon and welcome!

Whether the hyst is done vaginally or abdominally, there is still lots of internal healing that needs to take place. THe initial recovery period is 6-8 weeks. So yes, you need to take it easy and let your DH keep pampering the

The discharge you are having is pretty normal. Many of us experience it. However, if it becomes bright blood, it is most important to contact your Dr. right away. In fact, it's good to contact your Dr. with any new symptoms just to be safe.

Best wishes and s

I too had a LAVH 13 days ago. I had the discharge too but usually I would see it only when I wiped. It told me I had been on my feet too much. I think the problem with a LAVH is there isn't a huge external incision and it give you a false sense of healing. My doc told me that just because there wasn't any stitches on the outside didn't mean there wasn't a whole lot on the inside. Especially in your vagina. He also told me that in about 4 weeks I would start to expel some white strings. Glad he told me or I would have really freaked. When you see the discharge you need to put your feet up with a glass of water and movie or good book. It is gets heavy or red like the other sisters said it's time to call doc.

s to you.
