Leaving for hospital in about 15 min for cold knife biopsy/endometrial biopsy

Just a tad bit nervous, but The anesthesia doc is giving me a spinal and some sedation so I won't have a clue what is going on, thank god! Thanks for all the good advice and suggestions , and I'll try to post tonight if the "crampy stuff" isn't too terrible.
My doc is sending me home with tylenol 3 w/ codiene though. Should that concern me at all? Do ya really think it will be that bad? He said he would have to go fairly deep in there to get a good sample, and I already know the endometrial is very painful! ILast time I had that done in the office with no numbing/ anesthesia whatsoever! Well, I better get my butt in gear and get ready to head down. Take care all

Good luck, Stef.

I will be thinking of you all day! Let us know how it goes!

You may or may not need the Tylenol #3. But take it home just in case. If you're uncomfortable, take it. No need to endure discomfort if you don't have to.

Hey there MoodyGirl

It will be ok, I had a cold cone biopsy done in Jan. and the most pain I remember was in my thighs from my legs being hyper-extended. They felt like my ankles had been tied behind my neck! Not a pretty visual, let me tell ya! I complained about the pain in the tops of my legs right after the surgery and was given Tylenl 3 for it and it was gone instantly.

Other than that, I remember a little mild cramping, but nothing worse that a period, and being a little tired and dizzy for a day or two, probably from the anesthesia. Anyway, I hope everything works out well for you. 's, Jean
