Cyndy--About Doxil, What I've Heard

If you don't belong to the big board (1200+ women) I'd really suggest checking it out. You can unsubscribe if you don't like it. All done by e-mail. ANYWAY--DOXIL ALERT--from these women I've learned that it is not unusual for the CA125 count to go UP for a couple treatments on Doxil--this is normal--then it will begin the drop. So if it's up don't think it isn't working--it may be exhibiting this characteristic! You probably know this but I thought in case you didn't I'd pass it on. On a humorous note--Sunday is my last day to work my part-time City job--of course, during the Mayor's Convention "riots" (which I wonder about). Anyway, whole new process for just getting into the CCB--go to the side street, enter the lobby, phone dispatch, tell them to call Patrol and have someone come to escort me in--the bypass key I have won't work because it's double locked and I have to go past the "command post"--going to be quite the send-off! As I've said, "they better not riot on MY shift!" I might get "agitated" as I call it when I get mad. Last support group at UW for the year is at the UW K6/552 and since you're re-treating, etc. and go there, you'd be very much invited in. Sadly, they don't seem to like "outsiders" or people who wouldn't re-treat (as I said, the "d" topic seems VERY off limits) but you may get ideas on Doxil, etc. Worth a try. (I wish they'd be more open and friendly--I had SUCH hopes!) Then they'll start up sometime in September. But--remember that Doxil tip!

Thank you for your tip about the CA-125 -- my MD had warned me about it, but I'm glad you also told me -- I'm glad I know so that I won't freak out when I hear that my numbers may be going up.

I hope things are going well for you. Madison traffic is really a nightmare -- I'm from Minneapolis where they drive a lot faster, but it seems that the roads in Madison are kind of screwed up (especially when there is something going on, like at the Kohl Center), but the people are great.

Love you,
