I just realized something...

I haven't had a period since April... WAHOOOOOOO I don't miss it one bit!!!!!! Haven't had the ugly mood swings or the bloating(other than swelly belly) for 2 whole months..... Don't know why it just dawned on me....but it did....

Did anyone else have an "enlightening"?

Still amazed!

My surgery was on April 4, and I dont' think it has totally sunk in yet. Sure is nice not to have to buy all that monthly junk for me. Now I have to ask my daughters if they need anything, because I don't have to stock up like I had to before! I love it! I do notice that I can commit to anything now without consulting the calendar that once ruled my life. Life is very, very good.

I think it took me months to "not check the toilet paper" each time I'd use the bathroom. It's such a wonderful feeling to know we are finally free from that, isn't it. I like your word, "Enlightening". That sort of says it all.

I just realized something...

I agree it is so nice not to worry about having anymore bleeding. I am looking forward to traveling this summer away. My last memory, a year ago was when I had to make several stops on the plane and then a stop on the way home from the airport to a bar (the only public place open at 1 am) just so I could use their bathroom. Never again woo hoo! The habit of not checking the toilet paper is hard to break but it is so nice to never worry about bleeding again.

no more supplies

My husband and i just took a weekend trip for the first time since April 10th. When we got to the hotel my husband grabbed the small suitcase and made the comment that it was at least 10lbs. lighter then before without all the extra supplies that I always needed in the past. Jackie

I just realized something...

You know, before the Hyst, I was actually worried that I'd feel less of a woman without a period. Must have been insane, blinded by the false consciousness of a capitalist society that wants to sell us more and more feminine protection ( because we need to be protected from our own womanhood of course) or some weird thing that I'm sure some Postmodernist Literary type could explain. I wouldn't waste my intellectual energy.

Was getting out my favourite pale green and blue linen summer suits today because I go back to lecturing in 10 days, and automatically looked for the boxes I use to organise tampons and pads etc in my briefcase - needing both to get through the 1 1/2 hours till lecture break> Then it hit me Hey I won't need to scurry to the ladies room everyday - I can actually stick around and chat with students again, go for coffee after class with collegues. I am so relieved to know there will be one less embarrassing and messy thing to worry about - what a load off, eh?

Cheers all

Isn't it great not having to walk thru the office carrying that little (or big) bag with pads tampons and everything else in it

I just realized something...

I clean houses so I need to carry, vacume, rags, paper towels, ect...... While checking my supplies in my jeep, I came across the extra clothes, pads, tampons & undies. The undies had to go, my gosh, have you girls looked at your old "monthly" underware? Yikes! How sexy is that? I those things goodbye. It made me want to
