Hi Carole

I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I know it is hard to hear and deal with. All of the emotions, information and decisions can seem so overwhelming. You have come to the right place for support and encouragement.
Please know that you will get through this. Hang in there. Keep reading on this board. All of the advice and caring will see you through.
I am in Orange County. I think between Beachgirl and myself we know most of the gynecological oncologists around OC anyway. I had one of the best surgeon's around and had a smooth surgery, good hospital experience and excellent recovery.
Feel free to email me if I can be of any help or you want some recommendations.
Take care.

New to all of this!

Hi Carole,

I has a hyst for CA in January -- and have 3 little ones too (3,7, and 11). My husband is an MD so he's never really around. Everyone is different in terms of recovery, so it is very hard to plan, and with cancer, sometimes they don't know exactly how extensive the surgery will be until they take a look-see.

I would plan on some help for the first few weeks. I was pretty quickly able to cook simple meals and the like, but the morning rush was too hard for me to cope with. And prepare as much in advance as you can
