My new bathing suit benefits ovarian cancer research!!!
Yeap!!!!! The subject line is correct. How cool is that??!!!
I just came back from Macy's where I purchased a suit made by It Figures. A part of the money goes to ovarian cancer research at Sloan Kettering in New York. A bright yellow tag on the suit proclaims this information. I probably would have bought one even if I didn't like it. And I wanted to scream to all the ladies in the department: COME Check out this brand. But I didn't. So I'll scream it all of you here. It even has one of those tummy control panels. Not that it controls mine, but it does tame it a tiny bit!
On July 4th DH and I are taking a little cruise from NYC to Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Just a short four nighter. In Halifax, I'll be meeting up with my ovarian cancer mentor, cancer concerns alumni hostess Maria!!!!!! What a thrill it will be to meet in person, this dear friend who has so inspired and encouraged me this past year.
I hope you are all planning something fun to celebrate this July 4th. It will be a special day indeed.

That is so neat! I'm glad there is a bit more awareness on Ovarian Cancer. Not enough, but it's getting there.
Have fun on your cruise!

This is so wonderful to hear, I'll have to do some investigating to see where I can find a suit here in this area.
I can't tell you how excited I am that you and Maria get to meet in person, um, did I also mention how jealous I am! Ah, well, someday I'll get to meet all of my cancer buddies.
Have a wonderful time and make sure to take pictures

COOL
How fun girls! YIPEE Karenann and Maria get to meet! What a meeting of minds that will be!!! Have a great time ladies It is wonderful that the mainstream clothing market is promoting awareness. Now if we could only get an awareness for cervical cancer.
I am so happy you get to meet! Have a blast.

Do they also come in larger, women's sizes? Since my surgery, I gained even more weight and really need that extra "girdle" for the middle.
